Thank you so much for your track guide living up to the title of your video and for giving clear, easy to follow instructions. I’m a complete beginner and this is exactly what I needed for 2 projects that I was dreading because my cuts never turn out totally straight.

What's that spring loaded lever for? the one next to the knob that adjusts the blade height

Love the updates, I just got gifted this saw and looking to update the bearing guides and there is no clear part for the "Central Machinery" bandsaw, what bearing guides do you have installed?!

When I use bearings made in china, I remove dust shield, remove grease that came in them from china, and replace with a good grease. Grease from china looks like vaseline. Put the dust shield back on. They will last a lot longer this way.

Help, do you have any instructions for the fence? I have massive run out on the fence, mainly after the arbor, which is effecting my ability to cut square. How do I address this?

I just built something using your guidance but made the top out of clear acrylic so I could see if the sawdust was flowing freely and to catch any clogs in the system. Not perfect, especially when the blade is some distance from the fence, but it wicks much better that the home-brew version I had before. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Just wanted to say thanks for making this video series. My dad had the same saw and I've been trying to take up woodworking after he passed a couple years ago. The lifting mechanism isn't working anymore, and watching your videos really helped me to understand what all the parts are and how it works so I can (hopefully) fix it on my own.

It's only a matter of time before you have an accident using that push block. Do your research they have injured so many people. Never let your hand pass over a spinning blade, there is absolutely no need to ever do this, there are much better ways.

I'm currently rebuilding the same saw. What model bearing for the Arbor did you get & where did you source them?

Nice job man !👍 I did the same thing with the exact saw 30 years ago. I added all kinds of upgrades to make it run sweet. Machined and balanced pulleys, pals adjusters, I built a cabinet with dust control, added solid cast iron wings, extension table and biesemeyer fence, the previous owner had a Baldor motor on it. After I got done that thing whistled and ran as smooth as a Cabinet saw.

My best tool is Radial saw and I really like that dust collection system

I don't get why all the beveling to create the box. After assembly you still wind up with internal 90 degree corners.
